" On the Media" WNYC. "Digital killed the analog star"

In this radio chat two women are talking how how there was supposed to be a switch from anolog broadcast to digital. Congress and the FCC have been talking about a change since 1996 !The change was signed three years ago and the people werent ready to switch. Congress postponed the deadline from this tuesday to june 12th. People didnt want to switch to digital broadcast and turn off their analog signals. Therefore People woke up to black tvs. It is a plan to change into digital reception so people dont have to rely on the "rabbit ears" ( antennas). Some stations will use the extended June deadline. Elderly viewers, non -english speakers and lowincome people are most effected. Digital reception most people get through cable or satelite receivers.
